Flower Power VGK trade forget STL

Created by: MTLaveragefan
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 7, 2020
Published: Oct. 7, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This year: maxing out the cap.

Fleury has negative value because of his contract... which I find hard to accept... but okay. This trade saves 3.4M on VGK's cap. Both Byron and Tuch are 20 goals scorers. But Tuch is a RW and (byron is a LW) and we just drafted his younger brother.

Trade could be tweaked.

Next year:
23M in cap
The kraken are encouraged to take (most likely) the best goalie available during the expansion draft.
So 6.4M off the books for a total of 29.4M

Danault: 8x 5M
Gally 8x6M

18.4 left.

KK gets a 4x5.5M that lands him on the edge of FA... but not quite.

13.4M left to fill the void... resign Lekhonen and let armia flies free unless he comes back cheap.

Keep 6 to 7M to save for a Suzuki extension.

i think if vegas is going to move tuch and a second to move MAF, they wouldnt want a 4m cap hit backup and 3m cap him bottom 6 winger back. The point is to free up a bunch of cap, not get worse and 'slightly' less expensive

Allen is there one year only, then it's free cap. And Tuch and Byron is a lateral move at best... and yoi are getting Peohling

Let’s just put it this way.

We. Aren’t. Moving. Tuch. To. Move. Fleury.

Stop with these insane trade proposals

My trade probably doesn't compute sentimental value for Tuch. But I'm sure there would be a way to make it work. 7M in cap is a lot of money in a revenue free season...

Then let's entertain the scenario where he signs somewhere else? Would you be interested? What would be a need for the VGK?

i mean personally i wouldnt be. Fleury is probably as good as allen at a worse cap hit certainly, but if it costs that much to move MAF for allen its probably not worth it especially if theres no need to dump cap for petro. Otherwise i think tuch is pretty indisputably better than byron when theyre both on so thats a downgrade at a player, without much of a downgrade of contracts. IDK really its even more unappealing if petro doesnt sign. Poehling is a fine prospect but doesnt offer much upside.

If we don’t sign Petro there’s almost zero need to make a big move period. Just ride it out. Tuch isn’t going to be moved. His value just isn’t tangible because of a monster playoff, his age, his contract value.

Fair enough, we play you guys maybe twice a year... and once at 11pm... so i don't know much about Tuch.

I'm unable to think at this moment to be quite honest. Still trying to digest this stupid Anderson contract.

I'm getting some major Lucic vibes.... but Lucic did well under Julien.

Poor Anderson, he better churn out 30 like gally if he doesn't want to turn into a villain

Honestly, i dont think he even needs to pot 30's. He just needs to stay healthy. If he stays healthy, he'll be good. Hits fights, crashes. The goals will come for sure next to Suzuki. Im not even worries about that.

True, he is the kind of player that still gets involved in the game even if he is having an unlucky drought.
