I believe this was close to the deal that almost happened this last season. Some insiders think that the Isles may revisit it.

The isles currently have 9 million in cap space to sign barzal and two top 4 D. They are focused on shedding salary right now

Take Boychuk instead of Ladd and I'm a little more comfortable with it. It's honestly better for Minnesota that way anyways - less in bonuses and it ends sooner. Meanwhile, the Isles get juuuuust enough extra relief for the next two seasons

That is fair. As a MN fan if Parise is going to be traded I would like to see him go to the Isles because that's where his dad played.

I'd much rather give them Ladd than Parise.

The Flames grossly overpay. Dumba seems to be the odd man out on defence. If he was that good ( Bennett & 2 picks) he would be staying. Bennett needs to stay in Calgary. He is the goods. Excels in the post season. Invaluable.
