I heard VGK was shopping Schmidt. Considering our need in LHD, and VGK in cap space, could those 2 be a potential swap possibility?

Strome is bad and looked fine with Panarin. I'll take Turris, Wennberg, AA as insurance for Chytil.

I love this ADeA trade because he sucks as a person and it's insulting to him but...

He's kinda turning into modern era Phil Housely (points out the whazoo but barely got norris votes due to sketchy defense) and finished 4th in D scoring this season

Maaaybe don't unload him at 24 for a 33 year old depth D and a 25th overall pick

As a Caps fan I say no thanks to Strome. We already have our center positions filled with Kuzy, Backy, Eller, and Dowd.

It’s RFA rights, not UFA rights. Compensation would be minimally a 1st and 3rd if you offer sheet, but this way you can get 6 or 7 years on a deal without compensation increasing.

2RD is a bigger need than 3RW, and they don't have the cap space to make big additions at both spots. Probably don't have the cap space for Strome in general if he's asking for more than about 4M.
