He's trying to get something going, teams aren't biting at the moment. Shattenkirk would have been a Ranger if the Blues had accepted the Rangers offer earlier this week

Since the Blues are going for a Cup too, it's unlikely they are going to trade Shattenkirk unless they have injury where they would have to acquire a forward or goalie. Rangers want a Dman? maybe they might have to settle for veteran plugger from a team with excess Dmen.
