That DeAngelo deal is gonna be bad down the line, he doesn't play enough DEF, minutes against the other teams top lines or any time on the PK .. 1 or 2 year bridge deal to UFA AAV 4-4.5 Million.

Also its doubtful NYR will spend to the 81.5 CAP number with the potential performance bonuses for the ELC players. with Laf in the fold & getting MAX bonus potential the bonus # could be almost 11 million... the sum of potential bonuses cannot exceed 7.5 % of the cap... you got have that money available, good news is, its unlikely that ALL the bonuses are hit, they rarely are.
So they need an additional 4.8 is cushion for the bonus potential.

Good Sergachev trade. I would do that and for the Lightning, Nils is a guy that can step in right away. I would trade ADA if you are getting Sergachev. Then sign someone like Bogosian to play the right side until Schneider is ready. A 1-2 year deal for Strome is great. Only other thing would be Georgiev will get more $. Like 2.25m for 3 years.
