Leafs porn - Offer Sheet Cernak Gudas Kuemper Simmonds

Description
It might not be wise to move on from dermott but that is how the numbers crunched in my scenario. In fairness, I dont know if dermott will ever have a significant role on this team due to Rielly and Muzzin being much better players. I'm sure there are other deals to be made for Andersen (maybe less than a first rounder as the return) but the point is that it cleared some cap to allow for realistic signings with Simmonds and Gudas - I left some cap to spare as I'm sure that at least one contract between Mikheyev, Gudas, Simmonds, or "unknown grit" (lol) will vary compared to what I inked. The leafs have the assets to make this happen, it is just a matter of what they're willing to give up. This roster would be a dream as it adds a lot of grit in cernak, gudas, and simmonds and shores up a potential top 10 d core for the forseeable future.

Surprisingly both deals favor the Leafs heavily

Carolina and Arizona both say no. Dubas says he expects Andersen to be the starter next year anyway

So Andersen gets a 1st round pick, While Kuemper pretty much gets a meh return. Yeah don't think so.

Context matters. Carolina reportedly has interest in Andersen and Dubas began negotiations with a steep ask. The Yotes have a goalie tandem that will get broken up prior to the expansion draft and they played Raanta slightly more than Kuemper this year - so teams will not be blowing them away with offers. Also, did you read my caption/description at the top??? I touched on the fact that the listed deals might not be enough and that the leafs have the assets to make this roster happen but it's just a matter of what they're willing to give up. The way I listed them would be a win for the leafs.

If that’s all it takes to get kuemper then Carolina could just give them fleury and dzingel and keep their first. They’d also get the better goalie of the two
