Description

It would appear that the Jets' best chances to fill holes would be to "help" teams looking to shed cap in free agency. Stastny buys Perfetti time to develop and Leddy does the same for Heinola and Samberg. Low risk pick ups at good value.

With Perreault, Stastny and Leddy all coming off the books at the end of the year, that frees up over $12M in cap to play with for Laine, Pionk, Copp and Lowry and further upgrades after the expansion draft.

Leddy is two years away from FA...not a good pickup...get Goligoski or Hjarlmsson(spelling) from Ari...or someone else

He still has value, but not as much as cap space for the isalnders. Still I think he fetches more than a bucket of pucks haha
No way VEgas retains. So if they dont, then reduce the cost the jets pay. 4th rounder for Stastny?

I would bargain hunt free agency over giving up anything to help anybody at all, would be kinda keen to see if duclair and ehlers with wheeler possibly or a kid that jumps leaps and bounds with Gustafsson or roslovic grow into 2c, would prefer a bottom out over a bubble and grab another lottery pick. Gives perfetti, samberg and heinola some time to develop.
