Helps them get to the cap floor, gets them a quality winger and a developing bottom 6 forward for a prospect.

No he's not what we want. We will get off the cap floor without helping the leafs. Rather have svech then anything coming back here.

I doubt this happens before the season starts. If the plan was to trade Svech why resign him? He is an RFA and he'd probably easier to trade unsigned. I could see something similar happening.

I like Troy Stecher but your AAV is too high for what he's worth... and he's definitely not a top-pairing guy.

Also, where is Travis Dermott? The Leafs have already extended a QO to him AND he doesn't have arbitration rights so he's definitely coming back to the organization.
