Why did this trade happen, Pu looks like a bust at this point.

I mean we knew one guy would be on the outs.... just didn't think the price on Nutivaara was this low.

I mean, just going by the trade, it is an obvious win for Florida. Nutivaara is a fine defensive defenseman. The Jackets hope to gain cap space from this move.

CBJ are flushed with defenseman, and Nuti is really only a third-pairing guy, so I don’t see this as really hurting them; but, Nuti could’ve fetched a good draft pick. Not a fan of this as, essentially, a cap dump.

Unless CBJ plan on making a big FA splash in the next few days, FLA wins this one.

Damn, makes me wish my team swung at Columbus. Good trade for Florida.

If we can get Hall on a short 1-2 year deal with a reasonable cap hit, great. Not really feeling them (likely) overpaying for Hoffman. Word is Dubi is leaning a cheaper bridge deal instead of long term at this point, in which case we could make something like that work.

Cbj still clearing cap space for Dubois, Gavrikov and possibly a good free agent.

If CBJ is in on Hall, I'd say it's worth it for them. he was a bottom pairing Dman there.

This Trade is Perfect for both teams. Florida gets a defensemen which they drastically need and Zito knows this player very well. Columbus has a strong defense and core but needs to create more cap space because they are making a run at some offensive players in Free Agency.
