To miss the playoffs.

I am not sure you can call it a rebuild yet. I don’t think we have intentions to sell off our assets for futures.

Apparently the hawks are unable to buyout smith because he is injured.

This is probably where we are at with the exception of Pirri is done, he's going to have to make the AHL team (played last season in the ECHL). I would have Carlsson there in the rotational spot.

Really hoping Suter is somebody and if Nylander has the same season as last, Suter replaces him.

Smith, if still deal with back issues, he goes to LITR. It's possible that he didn't stay on LITR to not get bought out or could have been a strategy for him but back surgeries for hockey players are tough to come back from especially the kind of game he plays.

If Smith is injured then he'll be LTIR? Honestly dont know his status for the year, but on Day 2 they put him LTIR then we have $3M in cap space for any UFA not yet signed. Maybe Crow???

I think we need to trade Murphy, Saad, and Dehaan if possible. this team won't compete. Get assets for them, plus a top 5 pick in this upcoming draft and we could be out of this sooner rather than later. Imagine if we did what I just mentioned and drafted Rossi this year after losing to the oilers

So many former hawks hitting free agency. Odds are bowman makes his signature move and brings back one of kahun, hinostroza, perlini, or duclair.
