Description
Swapping Jensen for Vatanen in our lineup is a huge upgrade for us. Galchenyuk could be a Connolly-esque reclamation project, and Weber knows Laviolette well and can help fit in to the system.

Winnipeg isn’t giving up a 3rd for Jensen. We just locked up DeMelo with Pionk behind him and Poolman is a capable 3rd pairing guy.

Fair enough. I put zero thought into the team and return, because in all honesty, I don't really care what we get for him. He just needs to go.

Gudbranson got a 5th so i imagine Jensen could easily get a 3rd from a desperate team needing a RHD.

I wonder if Anaheim had some leverage because Ottawa is so far under the cap floor that they needed some larger contracts with some of their LTIR contracts expiring this offseason. I think Jensen looked a lot better at the tail end of the season and in the bubble. I'd like to see if his game gets any better with a better defensive coach in Lavy before giving up on him. It's not like his contract is burdensome.

I agree. Him and Pánik looked great at the end of the year
