ya but Nylander can score and is a top 20 winger, Anderson is an injury prone bottom 6 winger

Nylander's career high is 31 and Anderson's career high is 27. They can both score and one can play a physical game and play defense.

Anderson is a solid top 6 option.

It should have been Tuch' contract at 4.75m if he wanted to offer 7 years

I love me some Anderson but how can you not reach an agreement of 4-5 years around 4m per, tops? He has no comparables to get this contract. Even if he ends up being worth it, its a mismanagement of cap space.

Nylander has scored 61 points twice and was on pace for 71 before the season was cut short. Anderson's career high is 47. And he hasn't come CLOSE in any other season. Also he was playing in a crash and bang line with Foligno and Jenner that year. Wanna riddle me who can do that with him in Montreal?

you are clearly **** so you aint worth my time but I'll say this Anderson has a bad shot and is injury prone and is a bottom 6 forward but brings size and physicality, Nylander is soo much better he is so much more impactful and is MUCH more offensively gifted.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

People are mad! Anderson is a beast. His skill set, on an already super fast Canadiens team!? Cmon now. Drouin & Suzuki were developing some serious chemistry in the playoffs. Anderson on RW is something I can see working fantastically. And if not. Tatar & Kotkaniemi is a nice consolation. Gallagher, Anderson, Armia is amazing RW Depth.

Next season Danault, Gallagher, Armia, Tatar, Allen & Weal are all UFA. With an extra $2m from Alzner buyout. ($19.5m) With Danault & Gallagher being the only priority to re-sign. Maybe Armia if a reasonable contract is in the cards. So ultimately getting Anderson and signing him to this contract right now is the most perfect of timing. And, one for one on this current roster. Anderson makes the Canadiens better and more balanced.

Watch out Eastern conference!

I am very happy of Anderson acquisition. He fits perfectly our need. But the trade was steep 1st. Now that contract is an albatross . I tought he would sign for 5*5 big maximum . Bergevin is drunk .

Banking on him getting back to 2018-19 form, I see. Extreme risk and I really can't say I like this. Could be another David Clarkson. At best I see this being barely market value, can't see how it could turn into a steal.

Alright... now this has shocked me, and the entire hockey world. You cannot legitimately say you saw this coming.

My opinions on Domi are known, and I still think the trade is fair. Domi is overpriced at 2 years. This is the contract domi should have had.

This could look like a steal of a contract near the middle, or it could collapse. I don't think you give a guy with an injury history this much term. Apparently it was all or nothing with anderson. I like the risk to this.

In the end, I still understand why both GMs wanted the opposite. I see why Bergevin would never give Domi the contract he got, and why Jarmo would never give Anderson this contract.

It remains a win win trade. Both teams got exactly what they wanted in the exact term they wanted. Both teams are running risks, just the complete opposite risk.

When are the Habs getting Panarin.so he can “get back in form” you do realize that is why he has that one and only great season right? In a line with panarin centres by PLD.

To me, this is the worst contract I have ever seen. Maybe I’m wrong about Anderson but I believe he is a 30-40 point player.

Habs get robbed in the trade and the contract.

Anderson had one good season with panarin and pld. Nylander has had much more consistency and appears to be trending upwards.

Similar type of contrat then Wilson who are similar type of players. However Anderson just missed almost the entire last season while not producing offensively, while Wilson didn't suffer a major injury yet. If he can gain form it could be a good contrat however I have my doubt about right now so I'll vote no.

He didn't play with PLD and Panarin that year though. He spent most of his 5v5 time with Jenner and Foligno.

30-40 is the range I assigned too. I don't like this contract, but I see why it motivated the trade. I think it's the impact he will have that MTL is looking for more. He might crack 50 again. This is way too much but is also a heavy risk. MTL is betting on this guy big time.

Lol, pump the breaks on your 4 point winger. What a horrible contract.
