Description
Yes it's a lot for Anderson. But put it in perspective.
In 7 years, with salary always going up, 5,5mil for a 2nd line winger will be a great price, especially with size and offensive skills.
I personnaly think that playing with Suzuki and Drouin, Anderson can put up 30 goals in 1-2 years, which will more than justify his salary.

He should be an excellent fit on the top line, and with that contract habs are going to give him every opportunity to be a top player... 1st line, 1st PP, penalty kill etc.

He will be a good fantasy league pickup!

5.5 is fine for a 30 goal scorer. Even a somewhat steal. But for 7 ****ing years for a once 27 goal scorer, wtf. Give him a 2 year bridge. Your telling me that the guy with no leverage got that deal

It would have been better to give him 6 mill x 3.

I think it’s a good contract, like you said 5.5 mil for 7yrs is a good long range contract. I prefer this than signing hall for 8.5 mil. We got to add a faceoff specially player, who’s wins them. Plus we got to see what we get out from training cap.

I just don’t trust the direction of this team. They aren’t good enough to go far and too good to tank. They have some aging players and others close to UFA. Like change the direction. Either go 26 and under team with the exception of Price, Weber and Petry or try to add players and go All In.

He’s taking the baby way. Going half rebuild and half contend.

Yeah it’s horrible. I don’t like it for you guys. I hope it gets better but at least with your prospect pool you should be fine. But you dont want to have a ton of bad contracts when you are competing in 3-4 years

He def looks cool, I wanted Byfield because he was for sure a centre but I think both players are the same level and Stutzle will be more fun to watch. We need a forward one. I think they move a Dman for a young solid winger in the next year or so.
