What even is that marner trade, and we can’t even give pietro 8 years... and 9m+ until he’s 38 causes way more problems than marner’s contract

It really is. I’d imagine they’d probably have to take some filler so the other team gets to 11 mill but I’d assume the deal would look something like this:

5-6 mill top 4 Dman with Term + A level prospect + 2-3 mill (Komarov type of contract) and a 1st round pick

I would laugh for the ages if the Jackets take this deal to help the Leafs out to free up cap space and Piets then goes ahead and signs with Boston. LOL
