  1. Roslovic, Jack [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Roslovic had 29 points in 71 games last season, 24 points in 77 games the season prior.

Roslovic and Greenway have very similar numbers the past two seasons and they were born just 18 days apart, so they are nearly the same age. This seems like the ultimate 1 for 1 change in scenery swap to me.

I think it would be more vegas gives wings a 2nd and a 4th. We retain 50% and send him to you for a 3rd.

Honestly I wouldn't give a 3rd for Fleury if I'm Guerin, even if Detroit retained half of his salary

See the jets have no need to make that trade. Roslovic is a future top 6 forward and could potentially shift to centre while greenway is and will be a 3rd liner on a contender.

Additionally, Roslovic doesn’t need a change of scenery, he just needs time. Let the kid develop

He's been given ample opportunity and hasn't succeeded. Everything you just said can be applied to Greenway, verbatim.

Edit: also don't agree about Greenway's ceiling. If he puts it together he's a bull on skates and could be among the best power forwards in the league.

Totally get it, I don't think we would take a 2nd to retain on 2 years. Was just trying to even it out for us

    The Vegas trade makes sense.

Hmmm I don’t think that gets the Vegas trade done. The wild give up a 4th for fleury and a 2nd, Detroit gets a 2nd for 2m in cap retention. Just doesn’t make sense to me

Which part doesn't make sense? I based it off the Dubnyk trade and upgraded the picks by a round. Maybe Detroit deserves a bit more, but they'll need to hit the cap floor and they get a 2nd round pick for doing so

I'd keep the pick and try to get Vegas to take Stalock instead. If the AHL doesn't start Kahkonen is just gonna sit around all year, I'd rather have him be the backup so he can easily jump into the starter spot in Fleury's last year.

First of all, the jets are flushed on lw. 2nd, Roslovic has steadily been growing and shows no signs of slowing down. As I said, he can also play centre which might be a need for the jets. Also, Roslovic stands as getting more of a chance with the jets than greenway would.

At best this is a lateral move for the jets and is just a “move for the sake of making a move” which don’t happen. Greenway may need a change of scenery but Roslovic does not. He just needs time to develop and the jets are giving it to him.

I don’t see greenway as having the skill to be one of the best power forwards in the game. That said, I see him as a good middle six forward with his skill set (albeit from what little I’ve seen of him). On the other hand, Roslovic oozes with offensive potential and could be a play driver on a jets team that frankly is terrible at driving play. Just doesn’t make much sense as I’ve already said

I don’t know what else to say expect jets decline
