What the hell ???

What is this???

Does Marc Bergevin have COVID or something? Has he been kidnapped and raped by Anderson' agent or what? I DON'T GET IT!?!?!?!

One goal last year. O-N-E. He has scored his 27 goals more than a year ago and won't be back on the ice until January.

7 years ???? Why not 5 (which I still think is too much for a recovering elbow injury.)
And how about 5 years at 4.5, or maybe 5 years at 5M.

Come on!!!

Think Lucic.

I'm freaking out here.... someone try to help me understand that.

ONE GOAL !!!!!!!!!!!!

ONE. GOAL.

Pretty standard. 5.5 million per goal.

You forgot about the NTC. How I see this signing is it’s a high risk- high reward signing he has a lot of potential but can he reach it?

I hate when people compare him with Lucic. Lucic never had the speed that Anderson has, which is why he fell of a cliff at 30. I'm not saying that Anderson will stay at this level for all of the 7 years, but it' not as likely as it was for Lucic.

Wrong. One goal. That's the Hawks motto. It was their strategy vs the Preds in 2017 playoffs

Darren Farris is Taylor Hall's agent. Does he break all the records?

Lucic didn’t have the first three steps, but when he got to full speed he was really fast.

I was thinking 5 y X 4.5 AAV (and thinking it would have been a big gamble on the Habs part...)

Don't listen to what these guys are saying. If he can get back to 25+ goal and 45+ point seasons this contract is a steal. We didn't acquire him for just his goal scoring. He's here to play his game and contribute in other ways.

Please, please be right hehe!
I sincerely hope.

But he will have scored the last of his 27 goals around March 2019... and will have only scored one goal in almost 2 years in the NHL when play resumes.

I think it's a high risk-high reward bet. But the risk of that contract being a BAD contract is high. The 'IF' is huge.

Bright side... Justin Schultz signs 2x4.

Washington overpaid BIG for a RS puck moving D.

How good does that Jeff Petry deal look, now?

Mete signs dirt cheap. Cap situation is still looking rosy

Ok, yeah, the Justin Schultz deal is not great. The Petry deal is great.

But still... even though I like the risk on Anderson, I think there's 20% chance this becomes a great deal. And 80% we'll regret it.
Obviously some haters are going to shoot for the 100% bad move, but they're just talking as if they KNOW the future.

Agreed. We had to sign Domi for 2 years or trade him for Anderson which is the better winger we actually needed. Andersn gave us 1 or 7 year options. At $5.5M, it's far from horrible. They guy is a beast and the things he provides other than points are very valuable! Great piece to add! Flaws on wing are getting addressed.

Some Habs fans will never be happy
