Bringing back Bowey could be fun. Could probably get Ceci cheaper... edit: but with the lack of depth at RHD, the team needs both, and then some. Bowey's defense wasn't on point last year, but his point production was terrific. I'm surprised Detroit didn't sign him. With Siegenthaler to cover back for him, his own defensive play might be slightly less of an issue.

GMBM says hold my beer and throws 4mil x 2 at Schultz. Seems a little steep for me but could be a bounce back guy. who knows.

He usually knows more than I do. I can't wait to figure out what he's looking at, this time.

That said, Schultz was on pace for 11 even strength points last year. His corsi was 6% below his OZSP. The Pens' PuckIQ graph has him as about the 5th best defenseman on the team. He doesn't hit and hasn't blocked shots for a couple years. The only thing I see is that 50 point season, back in 16-17, mostly on the power play. So maybe it's just about keeping the power play together if there's an injury to one of the point guys. If that's the case, I hope they get Hershey to start developing their next power play point guy, already. Thought that would happen when they dealt Ness to Ari, but Hershey gonna Hershey.
