It will take at LEAST a 1st to move MAF for full value.

Per reports, every team in the NHL already rejected Fleury + 2nd for literally nothing. Needs to be more for any team to take Fleury apparently.

Eh doubt it. Detroit took Staal at 5.5 for a second. They’d be eating 3.5 mil on fleurys deal for two years in this scenario so maybe a third or fourth as well

So let me get this straight, DET gets Stalock+Vegas 2021 2nd round pick DET eats 50% on Marc Andre-Fleury and then flips him to Minnesota so basically DET sends MAF to Minny and they get Fleury for $3,500,000 for 2 years pretty good deal for them. And Detroit basically gets screwed as Stalock and a 2nd aren't enough.

Like villenash already stated, literally every team already rejected it. Zero chance a team takes his full contract for anything less than a 1st. May even take more than that.

EDIT - My reply was before this post:

Pass, 1st next year isn’t likely good and they’ll be asking for players instead for Deangelo

DET is going to have to make out pretty well from both ends to do a deal like this (DET is probably the only team left to middleman a deal, OTT and BUF are on strict budgets, the Illitches haven't squeezed Stevie yet, and I doubt they will). I don't think a 2nd from VGK is going to be enough for 2 years of cap hit (big difference taking 1 year of hit re: Staal vs. 2 years of hit re: Fleury, plus DET needed a LHD for a year). I can see something like this:

DET receives VGK 2nd round pick (2021), 4th round pick (VGK), Coghlan (from VGK); Khovanov from MIN
MIN receives Fleury (@3.5mmx2), 2021 4th round pick (DET)
VGK receives Stalock, 5th round pick (MIN)
