How are there 30 other teams in the league and you think Minnesota is the one that will give up a 2nd for Adam Larsson?

Detroit declines. It's going to take more than that to unload Russell.

Can’t act supportive of any of the trades here. I think it’s a foolish move to pay to move Neal right now. Zero chance I move larsson with klef out. Russell is controversial I can understand that but wouldn’t do it personally

Detroit declines, Holtby gets more. Hopefully DET signs T J Brodie grew up a diehard Wings fan and Yzerman was his idol.

I wouldn't give that up just to get him off the books. Especially when klefbom is going to be on the LTIR. I couldn't do any of those trades just based on the picks leaving !!!.. yikes

Sounds like they don't know what's going to happen with klef. So how to move forward with trying to fix defense is going to be a mess. If they could find a way to add Granlund would be Nice and maybe move a rw in the process

Russell is a cheap unload, just 1 year left on his contract. Not like what’s needed to unload Neal, with 3 years left. Russell is owed $1.5MM, send Russell to Ottawa with a pick, a 2nd since it will probably be a late round pick. Otherwise there’s no incentive for Ottawa to help Edm out of their cap issue.

Ottawa passes on Neal. Even a 1st isn’t enough for 3 years. Neal is still an okay player, just not $5.75MM for 3 more years okay.

Holtby gets less from me. He's not a starter anymore so he shouldn't be paid like one.

20 goals doesn’t get you $5.75MM, especially at 33 years old, and that’s assuming he can get 20 goals now.

For a "sensibleguy" you're not being very sensible right. Now. Guy can score from any where! He might not have the feet he never had . But he won't lose that shot! Especially when you have Tkachuk feeding him!

In my opinion I know not popular thought but I don’t think we NEED to look at blueline i think our safest option is use the ltir relief to keep russell. We are not replacing klef that’s not realistic and will cost a lot. Cross fingers on jones progression. The priority list shouldn’t change with that news goalie and 3c then see what money have left over to look at whatever options remain. If at that point can afford to add a vet like Andy green that’s just a bonus.

1 goal got Anderson 5.5 for 7 years. I think that extension puts in perspective that neals contract isn’t actually as bad as it’s made out to be. Safe bet for minimum 20 goals. 19 in a year he busted foot half way threw is more value able than people seem to give credit for.

I wasn’t sure if you were trolling or just didn’t understand, but since Tkachuk is the net front guy and isn’t a feeder, I’m going to assume you just don’t understand.

It really doesn’t matter who Neal plays with, it isn’t McDavid or Draisaitl. Neal probably isn’t going to do better anywhere away from Edmonton, especially Ottawa.

If the remaining contract was 1 year, a deal could be reached, but not 3 years, and if you don’t understand that, then this is pointless

Anderson didn’t get his contract because of a goal. Anderson does a lot more than score, Neal only scores, and when that’s gone, there’s nothing left.

Well I’d take the Neal contract over Anderson contract. Reliable goal scoring less than half the term. I understand he does more than Neal but goal scoring is more value able in my opinion. I’m not saying it’s a BAD contract Andersen just signed just puts things in perspective in my opinion.

This is a different discussion than if Ottawa would take the Neal contract. I doubt Ottawa would take the Anderson contract either.

As much as Neal isn't the sexiest player. I don't mind him . Good net presence guy. Fires from his skate laces and scores. Honestly don't mind him. We can't have 4 lines of burners who stay to the outside !

Sounds a lot like Brady Tkachuk. Maybe they could stand side by side and feed each other.
