Purely an expansion draft preparatory move, Shesterkin is exempt and Georgiev will be protected

Georgiev to TML for 1st 2021 and 2nd 2021.......

so much about faith existing into his Starter ( or even Backup ) potential......

Yup, Kinkaid was a hot mess with the Habs but this signing is to keep him sitting in the stands or play in the minors, he'll only play for New York if injuries strike.

Depth signing for the AHL and someone you can call up if need be.

What you call an "Expansion Draft" contract!

1 way just means he gets paid the same in the AHL as the NHL, not that he can't play there (and his contract is under the amount you can fully bury). Rangers can afford to pay him full amount to just play in Hartford.

I guess it's purely for the expansion draft. He didn't work out in Montreal but I hope he has a solid season in NYR or Hartford. I got scared because I thought it was 1.75mil/year rather than in total. This is fine because it can be worried, NYR is rich enough to pay someone 800k and not worry.
