Its a joke to have him over Bergeron as Hayes on TSN said. I cant wait to watch his twitter blow up later on

About what I'd say too.

I REALLY doubt that Laf is better than any of Stamkos/Tavares/Marchand/Scheifele by next season. Even if its a toss up, they will take the veteran.
Laf will be a staple on team canada for years to come though, im sure.

Tavares is one of the best finishers in the league. He has always been a poor skater, yet he shows over and over again that he is still elite. Him playing with McDavid and Marner would be deadly. He is always in the right spot, and with Mcdavid taking all of the focus there will be a lot of opportunities for Tavares to get wide open for a pass.

As for having him 'over' Bergeron, these lines are who I feel compliment each other best, and the order of the lines doesnt matter much.

After watching the freight train that is Dubois, I dont see how any Leafs fan say they rather have Tavares with a straight face. Team Canada doesn't need Tavares "finishing" they need complimentary pieces that can move up and down the lineup in case of injury

I actually love Dubois as well. I really contemplated having him on this team, but I still take Tavares over him today. By this time next year, that may change though.
