Given the team’s performance over the last three seasons, committing to a full rebuild has been painfully slow. It can’t be a full rebuild until Toews & Kane decide they want to
leave. They have a towering force in the franchise success, and they have earned the right to play out their contracts and to contribute to the rebuild or try and win a 4th Stanley Cup.

If I was Bowman, I would want both to stay, as their skill and professionalism should continue to be deemed invaluable.
