Line up if you saw this coming.

This is a fair bit of money. If it was a team in a cap crunch I'd call this a bad deal. But they are in no real problem with the cap, so big deal.

Blackwood/Crawford is a great tandem. Get them a good defense and it can work out.

Blackwood should be happy he doesn't have to carry his team so hard now, and has a good mentor now.

Good move for NJ. I think they are 1-2 moves away from playoff contention. *Ducks*

I don't get it at all. The Hawks could have given him this. The devils are worse than the Hawks. I'm just lost right now.

It’s fine, since the Devils have the cap space.

Yeah, this tandem with Subban & Delia has the potential to blow up spectacularly.

WOW! Did not see this one coming BUT it is good money and Good term and it only helps the Devils because Crawford will bring good experience and be a solid goalie along with Blackwood. Congrats to Corey on getting another NHL contract.

For Stan Bowman, who offered $3.5M to say with the Hawks and unwilling to go up to $3.9M, is a fine example of what an idiot of a GM we have here in Chicago!

Most people were thinking around $5M for one year. So basically the Devils will get him for a second year for $2.8M. Looks good. Now get us a scoring Winger in the top six and a top 4 D.

I like the contract but I’m surprised it’s NJD and not a team like Carolina or Edmonton.

Good contract and the devils have the cap space so there is no reason to say it’s a bad signing

Does his contract still count against the cap?

I’m pretty sure he’s retired retired. It was weird with Steen because I think they still have to pay him some portion of his deal. But not with Crow.

I don't think Steen officially retired. He's just not going to play another game so St.Louis has to put him on LTIR.
