Best signing of the offseason. He was awful for the Flyers and AV loved to use him at all the key moments. That said he’s a pro and deserves a good place to compete as long as it’s not Philly.

One of the best 4th line centers in the league. I can think of 10 teams that would have been a better fit though.

WPG just can't resist those veteran 4Cs, can they? Thompson is a likeable guy; his possession numbers are bad, but that comes more from playing tough minutes.

There's no scenario where he takes the 4C spot from Lowry, so this is a good signing. Depth is always nice to have.

He's not taking the spot from Lowry, Lowry should be #3 with copp along the wing. The only way Lowry is our 4C is if Perfetti cracks the line up and gets placed at 3C.

Oh? I thought Copp played center. I figured you guys' depth would be Scheifele -> Stastny -> Copp -> Lowry. Was I wrong?

Montreal has only good things to say about that guy. Good legs, good faceoffs skills, can rip a mean shot once in a while.

Perfect 4C. Shouldnt play elsewere.

Your not completely wrong as Copp can play center but before this year him and Lowry have played on the 3rd line and Copp is more versatile than Lowry so he tends to play wiing but who nows.
