in conclusion i have no idea how they're gonna fit this team under the cap. My guess would be that Dermott and/or Engvall are out the door.

I think it'll be Kerfoot. I'll be really upset if they trade Dermott tbh

I would hate to see dermott go too, his defensive numbers have been sneaky good, and if they do play him on the right side i think he's a great piece for a cup contender. The problem I have with moving Kerfoot is that as soon as you trade him you need to find his replacement. I don't know how the leafs are gonna do that.

i'm okay with the bogo deal. nothing wrong with some extra depth, and he provides an element that the Leafs are lacking. most importantly, it reduces the likelihood of Martin Marincin needing to play in a playoff game

Who said dubas is done? Bogo is a depth signing. I like the moves so far. Dermott May still sign his QO he has no real leverage right now.

Yeah maybe Dermott signs the QO, you move Engvall down to the ahl, and run 21 skaters.

I really like the moves hes made so far as well, I'm not criticizing that here. Dermott signing the QO would be surprising to me.

I’ve been saying it for a while. If he does get more it will be for added term. He has no real leverage and adding more Dmen to the roster has given him less. Signing his QO gives him arbitration rights next year.

Definitely not a sure thing but there is reason to think there’s a benefit to atleast signing a cheap 1 year deal.

If anyone goes I would have to think it is Holl.

You make a compelling case for this.

I don't think Holl goes. He just had his breakout season, I think the Leafs see him as a top 4 guy. That kind of player for 2 mil is a good deal. I'm not really sold that he's a top 4, maybe a high end #5 at best.
