Projecting Seth Jarvis career

Team: 2020-21 Carolina Hurricanes
Initial Creation Date: Oct. 10, 2020
Published: Oct. 10, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
To(night)day let's start by projecting his future line: Suzuki-Necas-Jarvis. Behind the SAT line this could be an amazing 2nd line in maybe 3 years.

Btw guys while I was doing some research on him, I found out he was a PLUS 53 in 19-20, which is pretty insane, even if the +/- stat doesn't mean much.

If we look at his stats, it's difficult to tell what he really is. He scores a lot while passing a lot too. Let's just call him a great F prospect, shall we? An all around offense minded player...

We (MD13) and I believe that a 65 ish point range makes sense for him. Maybe a 25-30 ish goals guy.

Jarvis has a high ceiling but also a low floor. However, I think that if he can get a bit bigger, he can be a pt/game player. Realistically, I have him for what you have here

He would have been my pick too.
Great speed, quick 1st step, can shake and bake.

Just needs to work the defense a bit more and simplify his game. Some of what he does will not work at the NHL level. He's just so much faster than the rest of the kids in the CHL he can get away wit hit.
But if he can do that he's gonna be a solid player.

I would Jarvis has the potential of Turbo. Might frustrate some folks early on as he tries to put it together. Once it all clicks, he could be a 50-60 point guy that has a decent 2 way game. Maybe Turbo level 2 way if he works on it hard.

Trust me, don’t get too swayed by massive plus/minus numbers in junior. Still remember when Sergei Zborovsky had a +72 in 16/17 and proceeded to do almost nothing the year after in the ECHL/AHL.

All I’m gonna say is that the Ottawa Senators were really high on him and the Sens scouts and GM are tough to please.

Jarvis is a very analytics based pick. Whether his production comes to fruition or not, his defensive aspects pleased the Canes, who don't typically draft poorly.
