Okay I understand ur tean just won a cup and ya okay thats awesome you deserve some bragging rights, the maple leafs are in a much better situation then ur team is in right now. One offersheet on either Cirelli or Sergachev and oof their goes a top 6 player or top 4 d, both who are under 25.

It's much better then it was last year imo. I'm thinking Dubas is going to move out a defenceman and probably Engvall as well too just for some extra cap room which will allow for at least one spare forward and one spare defenceman.

You put Tyler Johnson on waivers because you were so desperate to clear cap. Also Holl was actually good last year, if you looked up his stats you would understand that.

18 points on the season and a goose egg in the playoffs. Definitely 2nd-pair numbers.
TOR fans are the Dallas Cowboys fans of hockey.

Looking simply at points is a terrible way to judge a player. Holl was solid defencively. Do you know who else had 18 points in the regular season? Weegar, Roy, and Pesce. Do you know who didn't? Rutta and Cernak.

So you're comparing Holl to Pesce because they had the same amount of points? Obviously points isn't the only way to evaluate a player but Pesce is definitely better than anyone on that right side.

Toronto will get embarassed in the playoffs again this year when their defensive gaps get exposed once again. The CBJ series is a perfect example of why you can't build a team with so much focus on the forwards.

And yes, Tampa Bay is in a dangerous cap situation. But our depth is good enough that we'll still be a solid team by the time 2020-21 starts. Probably won't win another Stanley Cup and might not even be a Cup contender, but we're definitely a more well-rounded team than the Leafs. Take Matthews or Tavares off this team and it falls apart quickly.

There were 6 teams in the league the last time you won the Stanley Cup, and your fans are so desperate for ANY playoff success that they're posting bull**** like you are. Hopefully you'll make it to the 2nd round this time.

So Brodie isn't an upgrade over Ceci? I mean our defence is better... Lehtonen is the KHL's best defenceman, Bogosian is a big body and a cup winner, that is a solid 3rd pair. Reilly is an elite offensive defenceman and Brodie is a solid defensive guy for him, that is a very good top pair. Yes Holl may not be as good as some other 2nd pairing options around the league, but he isn't terrible. Muzzin brings the big body, solid defence, leadership, and he can put up some good point totals. Dermott is whose left? Ya he is not a 7th defenceman, he is a great 3rd pairing guy and if the leafs don't move on from him he could easily push his way onto the bottom pair and maybe even bump Holl out of the top 4. Not to mention we have one of the best defensive prospects right now is Rasmus Sandin and Liljgren is on the rise as well. The defence is much better then last year. There isn't much more the leafs can do to improve it

Dubas has had an offseason so far that is nothing short of amazing. The draft, the signings, the trades, he's hit it out of the park, happy to get Bogosian.

i mean tampa had bogosian, schenn and rutta in the top 4 at different points, Holl is the same. With muzzin he can be in the top 4, away from muzzin better as a 3rd pair guy we can work with that especially with his good penalty kill stats along with his 5 vs 5 defensive numbers. Cant judge a book by its cover as the expression goes.
