I guess Rafferty provides a bit more depth? Like I mean I guess you could compare it to the New Jersey trade where the leafs get younger and give up the better player to shed cap.

you beat me to it lul. I was actually thinking of this but I mainly was thinking move Holl for a 3rd or 4th pick. In general with the Loss of Tanev and Stetcher and with all the signings there are not many choices for Vancouver. On top of that they need cap for Petterson and Hughes. Holl is only owed 1 mill this year and 2 mill the next two so reasonable price tag for benning. Also Holl would do well with Edler and would make it where Stetcher never left lul.

This is actually one of those few ArmchairGms that is well done. I don't have any criticism of it. I don't know if Holl gets you Rafferty, but I like it.

I'll pay more attention to yours in the future. I see so many Toronto posts that I don't have time for them all and usually select by whether they include trades with teams I know something about.

They aren’t that realistic, none of them come true.

Most leafs fans have tunnel vision. Whatever makes the leafs better. I try to identify what other teams need. Work from there.

They certainly aren’t all gems and I welcome constructive criticism. It’s helped me refine them a bit.

In this agm I tried to identify what is the future of the leafs defence. The left is easy. The right should be Brodie Dermott liljegren. So Holl can be expendable.


I still don’t like the move but it balances future with the upcoming season. But I think Holl is going to be used as fodder to Seattle. So probably not realistic but it’s a decent proximity.
