Johnson cleared waivers, I have to imagine someone will offer sheet Cirelli or Sergachev

And on top of that teams seem in no hurry to help Tampa out, and aside from killorn anyone they want to trade has a full ntc probably limiting it to 4/5 teams they'd go to.

I want Cirelli in NY so bad but I’ve kind of accepted that the Rangers aren’t doing anything this offseason. I fully expect someone(maybe Winnipeg) will offer sheet him tho

I was looking at it, if they took Johnson with it and sent back one young talent it may work but Johnson contract would probably have to be bought out in 2/3 years

That doesn't mean there won't be a market for him, you have to outbid other teams offers.

True, but Robertson is a good prospect + a 2nd. I personally think it’s fair value but I have a Rangers bias

It's definitely a respectable offer but another GM might want him more. I'm a leafs fan and I'll be the first to tell you that Kapanen wasn't worth the 15th OA and Hallander but Rutherford wanted his guy and overpaid to get him. I think Armstrong would give this serious consideration but I think he'd be willing to take a lesser value deal if it meant he could attach one of Bozak or Steen to get a deal Dunn (pun intended) lol.

Armstrong talked about Steen not progressing and the Blues not needing to make any moves to be cap compliant. Sounds like Steen is LTIRetired, so that would mean the Blues have about $5m in cap space.

We can make space easier than you think bud. That's wishful thinking.

This is true. The talk around the 314 is that Steener has a chronic injury that requires surgery that will probably make him retire if he gets it. Blues aren't hurting for cap as many believe.

Dunn should draw nothing less than a 1st round pick and a good player. Yes, he is that good.

I’ll change the 2022 2nd to a 1st, but Robertson is a good player

I don't know enough about Robertson to have an honest say in it. The Note needs a top six scoring left-winger, and Dunn can certainly bring that back along with a 1st. If Robertson is one of those middle six guys who "could" play in the top six and not a "bonafide" scorer, the Blues probably look elsewhere.

Or, if he is a LHD, he probably doesn't qualify as a scoring winger either.

no we're looking at 1st Round Pick unprotected and Kravtsov/Lundkvist. That's if Lundkvist even wants to sign with the NHL.

Lundkvist isn’t coming over until next year, and NYR aren’t trading him for Vince Dunn.

then you probably aren't getting Vince Dunn. Rumors are normally not true. I doubt Blues trade him for spare parts.

Maybe. He's solid, but not sure that would move the needle for Armstrong.

I agree with the Beast. Kravstov and a 1st gets you Dunn and a Christmas card from Doug Armstrong.
