Blues fans let me know what it would cost for Dunn, I made my best attempt at sending value back based on the Blues cap crunch. But give me some feedback so I can understand more clearly what the value would have to be going back. Thanks

Honestly, I would wait a little and offer sheet him, because STL would have a hard time matching the offer

Steen’s going on LTIR, we’ve got no cap-crunch

It is beginning to sound like Steen has a chronic issue that likely ends his career. If he's not on the LTIR list, he probably retires, so yes, we have no cap crunch as most other fans hope.

Blues likely aren't interested in two defensemen. Samarukov looks like he may be decent, but scoring forwards are of utmost importance. Unfortunately, Edmonton doesn't have any of those unless you guys want to move Yamamato, and that would be a bad decision. Lavoie looks like he might be a player some day, but at 20 years of age, that is probably too far out to get Dunn.

I would think you would want more proven guys. Seems like you have enough guys on the cusp, no?

We have a number of younger guys with promise, but none (outside of RWer Kyrou) look like they will be bonafide 20+ goal scorers on a regular basis. Some could if they hit their ceiling. I'm talking about that being a floor.

You don't think Kostin can do that?

I presume you consider Thomas established then and not in that group.

Still don't get why you guys gave Fabbri away

We have too many capable D-men as is, we're not trading quality for quantity.

No I meant you were asking about forward prospects. Thought you'd want an established forward

I'm not sure anyone is sold on Kostin quite yet. He's toolsy, yes, but he hasn't shown consistency. Regarding Thomas, yes, he is no longer a prospect. He's a stud in the making for sure, but already a regular. Many of us hated to see Fabbri go, especially for that slug DLR. Then,to makematters worse, Army doubled-down on DLR and re-signed him. Admittedly, you don't find many NHLers that you can get for $700,000, but I would have rather seen that money go to building a bar-b-que facility inside the arena or an addition added for covered parking.
