It's permanent ltir, it's part of the deal because the coyotes need to shed money and the leafs can afford to absorb it

Is this suppose to be a modification on my deal I had just put together this morning? Bogosian on the 2nd pairing is not going to end well for Toronto - Holl is the far better option there in my opinion, unless there is another deal out there that addresses that slot (ala Hamonic perhaps?). Also, way too 2nd rounders being given up in this deal, and Hollander as the prospect? No way. I think Arizona would be plenty happy with SDA. Also, Leafs need Crouse as part of any deal with the Yotes. I would say that's non-negotiable from a Leafs team trying to get tougher.

I agree with you I just don't see the coyotes giving up Crouse as his contract has good value for the price.... Those are the type of contracts they want to keep.

If it recoups them some picks/prospects and rids them of Hossa who they still have to pay some actual money too (insurance only covers max 75% of his contract), I think they do it.

25% is only about 1.35M for one year. I don't think they do it.

I think they can convince them to move Crouse. I feel like this deal is the same kind of deal that the Lightnin made to bring in Blake Coleman. I feel like Crouse would be a perfect fit with the Leafs and his upside would be worth a presumed over payment. Crouse could play 3 LW and play up if needed, and at a hit of 1.5 for 2 seasons he’s a very cost effective 35-40 pt guy.

Not really interested in Dvorak, too much money for a 3C. I would move a 2 and a good prospect or a protected 1 straight up for Crouse. I feel like he adds exactly what the Leafs need to be a little more competitive in their bottom 6.

Crouse is not as good as Coleman.

I think he is close, and that’s why it’s a first alone or a 2nd and a prospect as opposed to a first and a prospect like the Coleman deal. I feel like Crouse can put up 40 pts with the Leafs and when you add his physicality and ability to play up the value at least to me is there.
