Wallmark is not the type of player/centre they need. They need a bigger/grittier guy in that spot. I am eyeing Bennett and Acciari. Not sure who fits the mould as a UFA though.

After the Johnsson trade, you aren’t going to get very much for Kerfoot. Also Kings are stilll rebuilding and drafting well, no picks will be moving out this season.

Dude he literally said any team in the trade it doesn't have to be LA. They have enough centres anyway

Bennet has a lot to prove before I would call him a 3C. Acciari just had a good year imo and I think he drops back down to his normal numbers as a 4th line centre next season

I literally wrote they won’t get this much because of their Johnsson trade. Which is still applicable to all other teams.

Joey Anderson was a 3rd round pick and projects to be a solid 3rd liner. Johnsson=3rd Since Kerfoot > Johnsson in terms of value, Kerfoot could easily get a 3rd+4th from a team who needs a centre, like Detroit or Florida

If you don’t believe Johnsson for Andersson was not losing the better player purely to gain cap space I don’t know what to tell you. Expect a similar deal if you want to move Kerfoot.

That is a similar deal. It's literally Kerfoot for a 3rd and 4th round pick, Kerfoot is the better player then whoever the leafs pick in the 3rd and 4th round lmao

But no teams are giving up picks to take another teams cap hit, which team have done this? The only move is taking a 4th Or 3rd line player for Kerfoot now.

Detroit would. They have like no centres behind Larkin. They also have the cap space to make that move. I would say a 3rd round pick (The one they got from Vegas) and Pickard (since they signed Griess) would be a great trade for both teams.

Rebuilding teams rarely trade away picks the Red Wings have done it once since 2017, same with the Kings (0 except for Lias Anderson who is more of a prospect). The only move that makes sense for Detroit is to move an active player to upgrade to Kerfoot.

Every time I post a trade on here where a team moves a Joey Anderson or Ryan Donato or Trent Frederick for a guy like Kerfoot it gets ripped on. However when I post trades that include picks they rarely do. Also just because a rebuilding team has a pick does not mean they wont trade it. If you can get an upgrade for a low price, you do that. If Detroit was offered Matthews for a 1st round pick straight up they would do it without a second though. Kerfoot for a 3rd is the exact same thing but on a smaller scale.

Not disagreeing but you are offering Kerfoot who had a decline of a season after being moved to Toronto and much more expensive than Turris, Koivu, and other free agent centers. You’ve got to see that his value is at its lowest and Toronto is not negotiating from strength here. Which is why I find it unrealistic he will be moved for picks, if he is ping me here. I’ll apologize for being incorrect.

Detroit can't sign those cheap guys though because none of them will want to go to a team that finished last in the league. That is why trading for a younger centre who has proven that he can put up 40+ points in a top 6 role is the best option for them

Do you not see Joey Anderson as equivalent to a 3rd/4th? Personally, I’d rather the player because at least we know he can play in the NHL. Kerfoot should be worth more than Johnsson, so I don’t really get the point in going out of your way to argue him being worth a 3rd and a 4th

I do not. I think I've been clear on my point and you all don't agree, I don't know what else to say? No other teams have indicated they would take this deal on here either.

Dude, if it’s literally “any team” don’t scroll all the way to the kings when they don’t need crap players like this! Anaheim is right there at the top
