No thanks, we've played this tune many times before (see: Pominville, Heatley, Havlat, etc.) and it never works out. I'd love Kane but just keep the picks and continue to draft and develop.

Makes sense and I generally agree. I just wanted to see if we could pull off an NBA-style trade and buy a cup. It looks like we could. With our defense and that new top line I think we'd be a favorite in the West.

If Chicago really wants to tear it down to the studs, they could.

Also, Toews and Kane are much much better than Vanek, Havlat, or Pominville ever were.

You have an AHL 4th line and 3rd defense pairing. You aren't winning a Cup with that roster, Colorado and St. Louis would eat this team alive.

You could never play your 4th line unless Wild are playing the Redwings.

Believe me, if I could ditch Zuccarello to keep Foligno and Hartman I would. But we're stuck with that boat anchor for life.

Kane and Toews are with more than 3 1st's. the rest of that is just scraps to make salary cap work. Hawks probably would want a package the wild are unwilling to pay for both of those guys. I'm talking a base of a deal around Rossi+Kaprizov+picks. Hawks would retain up to 2 mil on both and would have to obviously also take some salary back the other way. Makes zero sense for the wild anyways and they probably won't waive
