You obviously value Damon Severson highly, because you're putting him on the first defensive pairing with Quinn Hughes.

In return for Severson, you're sending New Jersey a one-year rental cap dump, a defenseman who's the third-best defensive prospect in your system after Jack Rathbone and Brogan Rafferty, a guy one prospect-rating service says will never see the inside of an NHL arena without buying a ticket, and a draft pick that is probably going to end up being only 15 places above the one you're asking the Devils for. Does that sound like it's fair value?
