Sabres laugh..

Switch out Cozens for Mittelstadt and drop one of those 1st for a 2nd + 4th. Kane for Mitts, 2021 1st, 2nd and 2022 4th

I think Seabs would bail. If the core is gone Seabs has no reason to stay. He'd probably go the way of Big Buf and sign a 1 year deal.

I think just the mittle would suffice, they are taking okposo and those aren't going to be the usual top tens with all the offensive talent(make them top 3 protect to be sure)

So if oilers offer Mc David for Cozen you would say no? Tampa offers you Point you would say no? I could list more but “untouchable” should be reserved for elite players not prospects that haven’t played an NHL game lol. I remember when Nylander was “untouchable” also

Fine: Cozens is untouchable unless youre offering generational talent 1 for 1.

Kane is generational talent smile but I sound like a petty dik It would have to be 25 or younger generational talent right?

I think a rantanen might get cozens, but even then...so hard to trade a top c prospect especially when you need one behind eichel

If you Buffalo fans think Cozens is worth THAT much it would be crazy to think how much Dach is worth in your minds lol

Its not current worth, but think about it, you have had c issues forever, mittlestadt is simply not working out yet, you need a one two punch up the middle, plus you have at least some cost control for foreseeable future with him. Its not something easily traded.

This top 9 might make it worth it though in my eyes. If goaltending holds up BUF is a legit contender:

hall-eichel-reinhart
skinner-steal-kane
olofson-eakin-???

I don't think the d/g makes you a full on contender yet, playoffs? Absolutely, but still may need a few years to get those other positions where they need to be and at hat point you're probably better off with cozens

That’s why Rossi made so much sense over Quinn

Yeah, and that's all the more reason Sabres fans hated the Jack Quinn selection. They could have used Rossi way more than they would have needed Quinn.

I am spit ballin'.
Buffalo is not in the position to be drafting for need, it NEEDS all of the talent available.
Reinhart was drafted as a center and he now plays wing.
Could we also not expect Rossi to do the same if Eichel, Cozens and Mittelstadt are our top 3 centers.
It was a bad move, IMO Adams did not put sufficient effort to moving to the 11th OA, adding 2 thirds would have been sufficient, he wanted too much.
The fact that Rossi was expected to go long before 8th OA,
https://thehockeywriters.com/2020-nhl-draft-final-rankings-bell/ Rossi 5th Quinn 21st
https://thehockeywriters.com/2020-nhl-draft-rankings-forbes/ Rossi 6th Quinn 18th
https://thehockeywriters.com/2020-nhl-draft-rankings-top-250/ Rossi 6th Quinn 14th
http://www.mynhldraft.com/2020-nhl-draft/mock-draft/ Rossi 7th Quinn 11th
https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nhl/2020/10/05/2020-nhl-mock-draft-first-round-picks/3620929001/ Rossi 8th Quinn 12th
made it especially disappointing to pass on him. He was a gift, and he passed on it.
Quinn will not be in the line up next year.

All that being said adding Staal and Hall were huge, especially considering the Sabres were in the hunt for the standard playoff spot up to the TDL last year.
Staal, Hall, Cozens, Thompson and Mittelstadt should push us over and into the playoffs or close to the close to it.

Quinn and Connor mcmichael are both 02 birth years and CM was a way way way better player tis year in the OHL.... i believe Washington got him with the 25th pick last year. There was 2 way way WAY better players on the board and Buffalo went with Quinn idk what they were thinking

I agree completely, and I now have Sabre fans who want to put me into a meat grinder for pointing it out.
I think Adams made a great trade to get Staal and a great move to sign Hall.
He did well to move up to get Peterka and I like drafting the Junior Sabre Costantini in the fifth round.
Passing on Rossi appears to be an error, I hope I am wrong.
While getting Hall in free agency was great, there were better UFA's available than Eakin, Irwin, Davidson and Rieder.
Too much for Eakin and Girgensons while he let Larsson walk at $1,400,000.
IDK how because it involve cheating but maybe he knew Hall would come to Buffalo when he did not offer Kajun a QA.
I guess if you hit a homerun with Hall, we can overlook all of the strike outs.

signing Hall makes the Quinn signing more idiotic... lets say Hall love Buffalo.... now you him Skinner Quinn SR Oooofolson (forget how to spell his name)... you could have had Rossi and Cozen as 2c 3c and had one of the deepest c depth in the NHL or moved one of them to the wing or just draft Perfetti who is WAY better than Quinn
