Where on earth does he fit into their roster? At this point it just seems like TOR is picking up whatever player is out there under a million without any idea what to do with them.
Leafs are just going to start throwing players at their bottom six and seeing if they stick. Thought Toronto would be fine with what they had, but I guess Dubas has other ideas.

Takes robertsons spot as I dont see Rob playing more than 9 games so we dont burn a year of his elcc
It was just a joke. When Vesey was a free agent coming out of college, there were certain pundits saying that if the Leafs were able to land Vesey that Nylander should/would be traded for a Dman as Vesey could be as good as him... Good thing that didn't pan out.

Things could change. Imagine him with Tavares or Matthew (should someone get injured). Heck he and kerfoot had chemistry so
Yeah, it's a good signing. Insurance for the bottom six and I think he could potentially be a guy that can move up in the event of injury.
plus he hits. Dubas honestly is adopting the philosophy of High scoring top 6, defensive/bashing bottom 6. While only Simmonds has 100 hits Kerfoot and Vesey had almost 50. Not bad.
no no no. Vesey is to good for the AHL, engvalls gone at this rate
Vesey and Kerfoot have chemistry and played together in the NCAA. Dubas is making a 3rd line that hits and I like it. Robertson is ready for the NHL but dubas does not want to blow a year of his ELC.

think that's just one scenario they'll look at.
vesey just gives them options on the left side in case robertson doesn't look ready. they did the same thing with aberg and shore last season

Its called a depth signing. Thats the whole point... He might earn a role, he might not. Great signing
