I expect another trade soon. Could involve Soup or Engvall (or Dermott).

Vesey is not good at all

Remember he was on Buffalo, 9 goals and 11 assists is expected for him on that team (no offense Buffalo). On the rangers he was solid with 2 25+ seasons and in his final year he got 35 points. Just never lived up to the hype

If you do your homework he and Kerfoot played together in Harvard. Those 2 have chemistry and Dubas plans to recreate that. On top of that Vesey is not afraid to hit having over 50 hits a season with the rangers and almost reaching that total in a lesser role with Buffalo

EU. Its safer and honestly I dont want the KHL ruining his development. KHL has a habit of lowering prospect confidence just look at Räsänen. Went from OHL to KHL and got ruined.

Boyd, Vesey, Anderson, re-signing Malgin......its what Dubarelli does regarding "depth" ( last years Agostino, Åberg, Shore )....hes still with Marlies and their Cup in mind and still has a slight boner on the moment he lifted it...so he stacks.....checks what sticks....rest stays in AHL for superiority, cause theres Toronto's only chance to lift a Cup....

Check what FLA and BUF did ......expect BUF "helping" VGK for Pietrangelo and land half-retained AMF and Schmidt....then ask yourself where TML will finish ( ofc check last years Divisional standings and Teams in line for Wild Card )

Could be another Ennis type signing where he has a productive year.

Depth signing as the kid has some scoring touch but has had a reality check into how good he thinks he is. I think he’s a bit of a cancer if you ask me but this is his last shot at an NHL roster because he’ll be passed around like an old pair of skates.

3rd liners do not get this little, usually. TOR might have too many forwards, but in a vacuum, this signing is great.

I think I understand what Dubas is going for:

Agostino - Kossila - Korshkov

Robertson - Boyd - Barabanov

Mikheyev - Petan - Anderson

Vesey - Brooks - Malgin

Engvall - Kerfoot - Spezza

Nylander - Tavares - Simmonds

Hyman - Matthews - Marner

At what point in time do Teams need to start acquiring assets, or ensuring that they have assets, that can be exposed during the Seattle expansion.
It appears the Leafs have precious few players that are in contract beyond next year, and who they wouldn't mind losing.
Maybe Engvall will be one such example.
Getting Vesey for 2 years may have been a better example.

Where on earth does he fit into their roster? At this point it just seems like TOR is picking up whatever player is out there under a million without any idea what to do with them.

Would he be Andreas Johnssons replacement in the lineup??

Going to have to teach him how to play team defense. But good signing, I think.

Basically same cap hit as Robertson.. looks like an insurance signing if the kid doesn't stick

Nick is gonna stick! Made my sick Keefe didn't play him in gm 6.. Later Johnsson.
