No way the Eberle trade is happening. No value compared to what they are giving up. Especially after dropping the ball on Hall, no way they blow more of their offence. If you wanna even consider Eberle you have to add a 1st and 2nd. & even then its counterintuitive when looking at the direction the Oilers are moving... However, i think the Bishop trade could def happen and maybe even the hyamn trade, but only if Winnipeg throw in a 2nd--kid's looking nasty rn for the leafs. Thanks for sharing!
Food for thought...

oh, you would be suprised... Elite goalies are a rare commodity, just use the present Kings and last years Canadians as case studies smile

Elite goalies are rare commodity as you suggest. Even rarer are players that play on Cup contenders in Tampa willing to waive their NMC to play in Winnipeg in their last year of the contract.

Good point. However, your missing one key detail--the Cap & Expansion. TB has Johnson, Palat, Boyle, Drouin, Sustr, Nesterov all having their salaries ending this year. Thus becoming RFA or UFA's. With Vasilevskiy (there other goalie and proven capable starter) signed long term and with 1-3 in cap space, plus raises in Johnson, Drouin, & Palat it is a forgone conclusion in the hockey world that Bishop has to go.
Therefore, Yzerman will most def find a way to deal Bishop before he losses him for nothing in free agency or expansion. You can expect 1st rounds to be the minimum bargaining price, & GM's are good at convincing players to drop NMC...

What is this fallacy that upcoming UFAs must be traded by TDL.? During the Hawks Cup run they traded high draft picks and players for upcoming UFAs, to make a Cup a run (often successfully). Didn't Yzerman not trade Stamkos last year so Tampa could make a Cup run in 2016? (admitting Stamkos had a NMC like Bishop has)
So many folks on this site think all UFAs must be traded at the TDL so a team "doesn't lose them for nothing". Every year a team has an average of 3 guys on UFAs, 30 teams..90 UFAs in total. 90 upcoming UFAs before TDL, and even if these "90" are traded at the TDL, these 90 players are still pending UFAs.
