Apparently Bowman wants another middle-six forward. I think Foegele would look great in a Hawks uniform, he's quite young (only 24), and had a good season last year both on 5-on-5 and PK. This isn't a "junk for your gold" type-of-trade, if that's what your afraid of.

Why are we giving up a prospect with similar upside and high second to get him?

Because I don't think that the pick will be that high with Strome/Dach/Cat/Boqvist continuing to develop, and he would come with a 5 year extension. Cost-controlled, solid two-way forwards are what your club needs. This isn't some redundant forward for prospects and picks like what some users on our page are trying to do, this is a very good 24-year-old that would be difficult for us to trade.

We are rebuilding, currently we have two AHL goalies as our number 1-2. We aren't giving up a high second and a decent prospect in this trade, sorry.

Big pass from buffalo. That is one overpriced backup goalie.

Highly misleading cap hit. Reimer's only due $800K in real salary because his bonus has been paid already.

Okay. I dont care about the real money. I care about the cap hit. I wouldn't want a hit much more than 4 for a starter, back up at a hit of 4 is a horrible move in today's nhl.

Reimer's hit is $3.4M...and he isn't a backup but a platoon guy. That's fair with the year he had.
