Hawks accept. That's how you rebuild the right way imo

Not only does that help the rebuild, but Fleury is a significant upgrade in net for them. They can at least stay competitive.

hawks are rebuilding. The upgrade in net means nothing. The 1st's help though. I doubt Vegas would give 2 unprotected picks though

I'd be willing to, but they probably wouldn't. You don't have to worry about the picks being unprotected if you think the team is going to be good. I see no reason why in 2023 Vegas should be worried about missing the playoffs. Now, 2023 is probably when their window closes, so they gotta hang on to the picks from 2024 and on.

Yeah, Vegas isn't giving up this much, BUT they should give up one 1st IMO...if that means signing AP.

Tell that to the sharks. Bet they didn’t think they were giving up a top 5 pick for EK.

I guess Stan just lets Strome sit out then? We don't have the cap space anymore for a smart move like this.

Teams are asking for a 1st and a second for Fleury at 50% retained. It's going to cost them something significant to get rid of all 7 million.

Honestly, I think the Hawks should trade Strome anyway. He doesn't seem like he's part of the future core because he'll be making too much money and doesn't really have a spot in the roster for now.

This is 100% a great deal. These are the types of deals that we did with Carolina to get rid of bad contracts that hurt us so badly

I guess it depends how Vegas views Fleury. I don't really see him as as big of a cap dump as he's being made out to be.

find a way to move Dehaan. Unless Kieth is pissed off and requests a trade. I feel like a move has to be coming on defense. Otherwise our Seattle protections are kinda screwed up. Whether its dehaan, Kieth, or Murphy moved idk. Otherwise maybe a Strome trade is in the works after the Janmark signing? He could be coming in to play 3C.

I don't think Strome signs until day 2 of the season. That's when Smith can be sent to LTIR. It's the plus avenue of having an LTIR spot. Just be good on day 1, but day 2...$3.25M in cap space. It's why TOR wanted Clarkson and Horton.
