I think Timmins is more likely to be on the Avs than is Byram but he could come in strong in camp. Also more likely PEB plays than not. Kaut is probably in the same place as Timmins: 50/50.

I think the Avs want to see Timmins string together a solid 40 - 50 games without getting hurt first, nothing wrong with him doing so in the AHL, Byram will get nothing development wise out of another year in the WHL and I think moving out Zadorov was to make space for him, teams make space for their 4th overall picks. I agree PEB likely plays but I wonder with his age if they start to shift him into a spot treatment position. I also do think Kaut is in the NHL though, I don't think they would have left him home from the bubble to save his ELC to not play him. Who knows though!

The Byram thing is definitely something that needs to be answered: can he go to Europe or is the WHL going to not let that happen. If not, then he definitely has to be at the NHL level next year but that is worrisome - he has never played against grown men and we know what happened with Jost when he was rushed into the NHL.

Timmins definitely needs to have a good year in the AHL in terms of his health. He may be on the back-burner for a post-Cole roster.

Agree on Kaut but they may slide him one more year so he is ready to come in and make a really strong impact next season. If Compher gets taken by Seattle and Newhook is ready to come in (big if), they'll shuffle some things around and have him play 3rd-line wing.
