may be an overpayment, but his play last year earned this contract. Love gravey, just hope his numbers continue to grow and he produces even more defensively this year. He allows Makar to make his offensive plays by staying home.

I don't. I thought from the get-go that Sakic maximized the value of Duchene and he played his hand very well there.

I remember some people saying that deal was horrible and that Sakic was an idiot for trading him.

Slight overpayment for year 1 but if he plays well the last 2 years could be steals. Also this puts Colorado in a pickle because they now have 4 defenceman who realistically they would want to protect for the Seattle expansion draft ( Makar, Girard, Graves and Johnson has a NMC )
