Kings decline, also Kempe is better suited as a winger.

Yea, Kings have no desire to move Kempe. I don't think they'd trade him for a 1st round pick.

Kerfoot and Kempe are the same in terms of production, and Kerfoot is better than Kempe defensively. Plus you also have Byfield. AND I also added a 7th to sweeten the touch. How would the kings decline?

Kempe has a better contract and didn't have a declined year like Kerfoot. What does having Byfield have to do with moving Kempe, he's a winger for us as I indicated earlier.

Kerfoot is better suited as a winger but he worked out for us at center. Also you're going to have Byfield in our lineup, so you're essentially not losing anything in this trade.

Kempe can’t play center. He was terrible there.

Less goal-scoring + more cap hit for one of the most snakebitten teams in the league isn't exactly a good deal. If Kerfoot maintained his production with the Leafs it might be closer to a yes. Kings have no reason to make this trade, they drafted and groomed Kempe, they don't know Kerfoot and they are very happy with Kempe gelling with Vilardi.
