Thats a good price for Lehkonen. I doubt he moves though, he's so important.

Yeah really he's underated. Not a scoring powerhouse but he's so usefull on his own end

Easy yes from Berg. I see him being moved for possibly even a 3rd rounder

Not a bad idea by itself, but I doubt that MTL lets Lehkonen go he's is very important in that team for the role he brings. We lack a bit of depth on the top 9 LW, so Lehky is crucial there as well. Byron and/or Weal are probably the players that are going to be traded.

If I'm Bergevin I would give Sakic a 2nd to take Byron instead

I'm aware that Bergevin likes Lekhonen a lot, as do I. His analytics are excellent. But, Montreal are over the cap and something needs to give.

Moving Byron would obviously be the ideal solution, but the reason why you want to move him is precisely the reason why no one will want to acquire him. Older guy, injury prone, overpriced (relative to this market). So Lehkonen could be the guy on the move. And if he is then I would hope that Sakic makes a move for him.

Fwiw, Colorado were rumoured to be interested in Janmark the last couple of days and he signed for $2.25m x 1. Which suggests that we would have interest in Lekhonen if he was available, given that he has a similar profile and caphit.

Under normal circumstances I would think he is worth a 2nd, but in this market you could be right. Moving $2.4m in salary without taking any back has value in and of itself.

Armia, Tatar, Kulak and Weal will be gone before Lehkonen to shed some cap

Tatar Byron Kulak Weal before Lehkonen and I’m not kidding
Lehkonen was wearing an ‘A’ at 22-23 yo ( they gave it to Petry tho ), he’s an important player on this team. He’s a Gallagher taller but without finish lol

So what you're saying is that he is a useless hockey player other than he's got great character..? Sounds like a Forward version of Alzner lol
