I cannot see Flyers doing that for only 2 years of Gaudreau. Flames are giving up way to much controllable NHL-quality assets for so little term in return. Perhaps if the Flames included one of their top prospects, it would make the deal more fair for both teams.

I don't think the Flyers do that, and Smith really isn't an NHL caliber player anymore. Hawks might have some interest in Rittich, but not sure at what cost.

Also, how excited are you for Dube? I am sky high on that kid. Could easily see him shoot up to 1RW early in the season.

I’d rather just sign Gaudreau in 2 years than give up that mich for him right now.

I honestly think just straight-up...Konecny for Gaudreau is a deal, but it’s a lateral move.
