I still think they’re missing a top6 F, Hoffman maybe?

He's a veteran 4C, don't see what the issue is.

He is a PK specialist. Will help NSH 29th ranked PK. I'm sure that is the reason why.

Sissons, Cousins, Kunin, Jarnkrok, Trenin, Pitlick can all play center on the bottom two lines. He's just so... unnecessary.

I don't hate it at 1 year $1m -- he's essentially the teams 12/13th forward with Trenin I bet (though I want Trenin to be in the lineup on a regular basis), but he should be able to help with the PK and faceoffs at least. Still need to add a top 6 forward like Hoffman or something. If NSH misses the playoffs, he could easily be traded to a contender too.

During last season, I thought Richardson would be a good, cheap pickup for NSH - but with all the moves Poile has made so far in FA, I do agree that it is not totally necessary. We'll see how it plays out.

I would have liked this move ten years ago. Now, I just see it taking a spot from a young player.

Definitely fair - and I agree for the most part, especially considering what Poile has been saying all summer. It may be that they don't feel Tomasino is ready so they brought in Richardson ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I do prefer a player like Richardson being scratched as opposed to Pitlick for example though -- I want the kids playing instead of sitting. So if it's scratch or minors, I'd like to see them play top minutes in the minors.

Meh, McCarron could have been that healthy scratch.
