    I don't see it that way. Bridge Barzal, save a few million, bury Leo/Hickey for Greer/Aho and sign a UFA forward like Hoffman or Dadonov

    Barzal could do this for 6 and goto UFA at 29 and get a huge contract. He's not on the level of Eichel or someone who is making 10+ mil or more. If he was putting up 85+ pts a season then I'd say yes throw the bag at him. but 8.5-9.5 seems right.
