Our goaltending has been far from "lights-out." Up until last night, we've dominated every game we've played. Simple solution is to bench Girardi or Holden. Also getting rid of Klein (of whom is our 2nd best defenseman) for mediocre draft picks is far from a solution to fixing our defense. Not to mention Dallas is in a "win-now" mode. The last thing they need is a future goaltender. They need a present goaltender.

Was talking about last season as far as early goaltending... with DG and Staal, Klein will most likely be claimed. A 2 and 3rd for him is better then losing him for 0

I don't get "losing him for nothing". Rangers and all teams are going to lose one guy, so even if Klein isn't taken, maybe its Glendening or someone else. Anyway, I don't think i Klein is going to be taken. He only has one year on a contract and IMO Vegas isn't necessarily going to take the best players, not those will just one year on their contract. If Girardi and Staal were thinking clearly, they know they won't be take by Vegas. For the strength of the Rangers they should waive their NMC for draft purpose, so the Rangers could protect three Dmen Klein, McDonagh and Clendening. Look at the Oilers lineup, Klein wouldn't be in their top 3 to be protected, so the trade is kinda moot.

So your plan is "to NOT have more than 3 good D till 2019"! Gorton plans on winning sooner rather than later.
