Both of them are old and inconsistent. Fluery would fill their last hole which is a consistent reliable starting goalie.

I wish Edmonton would have done this trade before the stupid Smith signing.

That's what I'm saying. Smith only had two good years (2012 with Arizona and 2019 with Calgary). He's old and nowhere close to the caliber of a starting goalie now.

Ya. I'm hoping come deadline we pick up a better goalie. Or some where throughout the season. Find a way to get hall back BC we know buffalo will be at the bottom of the league lol. Smiths time has passed. He was a good goalie! He reminds me of roloson of where he's at. Gets beat clean

Fleury's older then Koskinen and has been trending down for the past few years now.

Oilers are done dealing. The only way this deal gets done is if they move a right winger with cap(Kassian) and Smith. But they both bring something on and off the ice that would be hard to replace. Kassian can still contribute some offence as well as toughness. Apparently Smith brings toughness and personality to the locker room. He will play less this season regardless. Both had winning records this past season and it looks like it's going to be a shortened season. Oilers tried to bring in goalies but just got outbid everytime. Which I don't mind because I think Markstrom got over paid in terms of contract length on the AVV. They were going to sign griess for 3.5 had the paperwork drawn up and everything but then he got a 3.6 mil offer last minute, this apparently pissed Holland off. This worked for Edmonton because it led to the Barrie signing which IMO is one of the biggest steals of the Offseason so far. Oilers are an improved team overall with the same goaltending, which again, both had a winning record.
