Hard thing is, that's not a realistic team. You need min 22 man roster. Should always be 23. You have 20 and are up against the cap already. Not a team..
Honestly, we don't need hoffman. That would save the cap space right there

Hall signed a 1 year deal at 8M and you think Hoffman is going to take a 1 year deal for half that?

Apparently it is. Spezza as the 3C would be a diaster.

He might. Buffalo was the only team that went that high. Most teams went maximum 6, and that was with term.

Yeah while playing no where the same minutes, probably will not play back to back games, and not in the same ball park with the defensive game. Love Spezza and what he has brought. But you take away his effectiveness once you move him off the forth line.

He wouldn't. And you don't have the slightest clue what other teams offered.

Jettisoning young cost controlled quality assets to sign solid old rentals and blackmailing Hoffman to get him down to 4M I dunno it just doesn't seem ideal

Dubas is a charming white guy so at least he'll get off

      Oo getting political in here!

I'm obviously not making it up. Why would I randomly throw that out there? It's from Friedman.

Because its the internet, and that's what people do. All those "insiders" make up 99% of their scoops.

Why would every team tell someone what they offered a player? Teams never give direct answers.
